- (9 Feb. 1914-27 Dec. 1972), farmer. (Angus Gray) Parents: John Angus Gray and his wife Mary McLeod. Angus Gray was a lifelong resident of the Dunvegan area. He was a farmer, and then from about 1960 an ROP inspector. Having been active in the Kenyon Agricultural Society and in the operation of the Maxville Fair, he left one half of his estate to the Kenyon Agricultural Society. The show hall at the fairgrounds, Maxville, was named the Angus Gray Centre after him. His name, therefore, remained familiar to readers of the GC-area public, and often appeared in the local press. He was unmarried. The show hall was destroyed by fire, 30 Sept. 2003, in an arson attack, but has been rebuilt. Angus Gray died in Cornwall General Hospital. Mason. See also Henri Dubeau.
